10 Things You NEED For Your Spring Clean

Suns out, time to declutter, dust and get the house feeling all spring fresh and smelling spring fresh an all. So here are 10 things that will make the whole process a pleasure!

The Glass Cleaner Of Dreams

A disinfectant that smells divine

Listen, if there's one thing that's the enemy of a clean house it's fellas (and kids of course, but fellas should know better). Ironing Water

Yes we know ironing is a bit of a ball ache but while it's the summer holidays now, uniform ironing time will be back again before you know it and I'm not ashamed to admit there is something a little bit satisfying about running a hot iron over and watching the creases disappear. Ironing water is available in the UK but there's literally like one scent and it's a bit meh. No only does ironing water make ironing easier as it's specially formulated but it makes your clothes smell divine, perfect for a refresh after grabbing them out of the ironing pile of doom. Fabric softeners of dreams

I think one household task that's probably universally liked is doing the washing (NOT PUTTING IT AWAY THOUGH, NEVER PUTTING IT AWAY). Load the clothes, get some nice smelling stuff in and bang, you're walking round smelling like a summer meadow all week. Magic. This Colonia fabric softener is my all time fave and smells exactly like I would describe the smell of ‘clean’. Fresh and ever so slightly citrusy. It's beautiful. BUT I really really need to tell you about the new laundry perfume. It's a liquid and you pop a little squirt in your drawer (that's what she said) and your clothes smell SO SO SO good and it lasts for ages. Both the smell and the bottle it come in. Way better than those little balls and much less messy too. Trust me. Plus we have a couple new fabric softeners that claim to keep your clothes fresh for 300 days (obv if they're hanging in your wardrobe, not if you wear them for 300 days straight eee.

Hoover disks

These little miracle discs go in your hoover (obv), either in the bag or the filter depending on what type you have and they kind of make vacuuming so satisfying. As you whirl that hoover round, making those carpet lines, you’ll also be making your house smell divine as the discs throw out a gorgeous smell! These super chunky wax melts are the bargain of the century. You get a big cake for £2.99 which can be split into 4 or more chunks and honestly the scents lasts for AGES and has one hell of a throw. We used to have these on in the shop and the whole shop used to smell fab - and that place is a big boy! I mean a room isn't truly clean until you've lit a candle or a wax melt is it?
